UNC Women's Club Volleyball

UNC Women's Club Volleyball consists of 20-24 members organized into two highly competitive teams.  As members of the CWCVL (Carolina Women’s Collegiate Volleyball League) and NCVF (National Collegiate Volleyball Federation), both teams compete regionally and nationally.  Other teams in the CWCVL include NC State, Duke, UNC Greensboro, App State, Virginia Tech, and many others.  Both teams compete in several local tournaments, as well as host a home tournament each semester.  In the spring, both teams travel to compete in the NCVF Collegiate Club National Championship tournament.

UNC Women’s Club Volleyball takes pride in being a competitive club, and it requires a serious commitment from every player.  The commitment includes attending all practices and tournaments, as well as participating in club events, fundraisers and community service. Practices are usually twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, for two hours each. Practices can also include an additional 30 minutes of conditioning, which can take place either before or after practice.

Generally, the club participates in 3-4 tournaments per semester, ending the season with the National Championship tournament held in early April. In 2018, our Blue team peaked at 10th in the nation for NCVF teams, and our White team finished in the gold bracket of their division at nationals.
